The Justrite Sure-Grip EX Piggyback Safety Cabinet is designed for the storage and segregation of flammable liquids in lab, construction, or engineering settings. Use independently on bench tops or stack on top of 30 or 45 gal (114/170 l) Justrite safety cabinets. It can also be mounted on a wall with an optional wall hanger assembly (model 25950). This yellow model is constructed with a sturdy 18-gauge (1 mm) thick steel double-wall, with 1.5 in (38 mm) of insulating air space for fire resistance. The fully welded, not riveted, construction holds the squareness of the unit for a longer life and offers greater protection in a fire since air gaps are reduced. High-performance, self-closing doors open to a full 180 degrees. A patented, concealed self-close mechanism provides obstruction-free access to shelf space. The doors self-index to guarantee they will close in tightly sequence. Continuous piano hinges ensure the doors close smoothly every time. When used properly as designed, safety cabinets with self-closing doors shut automatically in case of a fire. The self-closing doors, under tension, are held open by using fusible links. Under fire conditions, when the ambient temperature reaches 165 deg F (74 deg C), the links melt and the safety cabinet's self-closing doors automatically swing shut. The self-latching system engages with three stainless steel bullet-slams located at the top, bottom and center locations of the door. For added security, each cabinet comes with an innovative U-Loc handle that does not require manual rotation to engage the mandatory latch. Cabinets include a cylinder lock and key set, or you can choose to use your own padlock. Haz-Alert reflective warning labels that read "FLAMMABLE - KEEP FIRE AWAY" are highly visible under fire conditions or during power outages when illuminated with a flashlight. Features one patented, galvanized steel SpillSlope shelf designed to direct spills to the back and bottom into a 2 in (51-mm) leak-tested sump that meets EPA requirements. Adjustable on 3 in (76-mm) centers, all SpillSlope shelves meet ANSI MH28.1 standards with a 350-lb (159-kg) safe allowable load. Welded shelf hangers interlock with the shelf to offer maximum stability with no flimsy brackets to lose. The cabinet also features dual vents with flame arresters, four adjustable self-leveling feet and a built in grounding connector. Its durable lead-free epoxy/polyester powder-coat finish provides excellent chemical resistance inside and out, as well as minimizes the effects of corrosion and humidity.
